all four seasons].
Over 50 fruit trees, along with herbs and salads grown in kitchen garden for
café and community.
On-going community horticultural learning programme established.
Over 400 m2 of new native woodland created [including up-cycled bird boxes, willow
tunnel, natural reading area for kids, stepping stones through wooded glades – all designed to
encourage more positive interaction with nature].
Additional soil re-cycled from nearby construction site.
Recycled stable tiles and yorkstone [from local salvage yard].
All drainage managed through natural infiltration in to ground.
Zero electricity requirement in design.
Upcycled furniture by Total Re-use in Merseyside [ including the Harvest table – part of
the wider program to encourage positive healthy eating and lifestyles].
Positive Community involvement from start to finish [on a daily basis].
Existing railings retained and re-furbished.
